Cam cover gasket kit price.
« on: 07 April 2008, 20:46:40 »

Hi guys been to vauxhall today to order cam cover gasket kit and all other seals/o rings.

The one im worried about is 9118135 as In the guide to changing the gaskets it says 6 is required. This is £11.25 each! Is there 6 in the pack or will I need 6 as all in all im already near on the £100 mark yet im sure i read somewhere it usually falls in the £70's region.  :-?

On the same subject, is it a good idea to change spark plugs at the same time? If the pots containing the sparks have become contaminated with oil as a result of the cam cover gaskets I wondered if it was a good idea / necessary to do these as well?

You can clean the insulators up on the spark plugs but, its really easy to change them when doing this job so think of it as an opportunity!
