Hi Guys & Gals
Anybody know how to remove airbag covering on passenger side of a 96 Omega so as i can change my broken glovebox?

you need to remove the airvent next to it, cant remember what else  ::) if you have a haynes manual its all covered in that  :y

You can remove glovebox without removing the airbag cover...in fact I'm pretty sure I'm right in saying you need to remove the glovebox in order to get to the star bolts holding the cover in place!!

just need to remove the bolts to airbag

Just done my mini face lift and if yours is similar – remove the three bolts (torx) in the roof of the clove box and then lift the front of the air bag cover a couple if inches.  Underneath, at the two front corners is a screw (+ve) that needs to be removed and two more inside the glove box, one either side.  For the final one, remove the side vent cover and top screw (+ve) and the air vent it retains.  Once the air vent is out the last screw (+ve) becomes accessible.

According to Mr Haynes this screw isn't there!  :-? It took me a while to find it on my mini face lift (+ Araldite to repair what I'd broken trying to find it ..  :-[ )
