Fault code reader
« on: 14 April 2008, 21:16:10 »

Hi all. I`m having problems with my 99 estate every so often it throws a wobbler. I`ll be driving along and the engine will start to miss and the rev counter goes bonkers the engine managment light comes on. Some times it stops completley stops and others it continues to run. So being a proper yorkshire man I dont want to pay some one a fortune to find the problem and change what is probobley a duff sensor. So can anyone advise me on where I can purchase a fault code reader so I can find the problem myself. Thanks Andy : ;D

read 10 as 0, and you have some valid codes :
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1197277610

you have cam and crank sensor errors
some of the others may be false due to the above codes...

Also check the plug wells for water / oil  they may cause the voltage errors

The correct codes are here:

0335 - Incorrect rpm signal
0110 - Intake air temperature
0340 - Camshaft sensor in-correct signal
0351 - Ignition coil 1-4
0352 - Ignition coil 2-3

Sounds like the crank sensor is not happy......and causing other codes to be thrown to.

Also check the state of the 0V connection on the main injector rail

Thanks again all. Would you suggest I replace the cam sensor first? :-?
