2.2 ecotech cold starting problem
« on: 23 April 2008, 13:34:52 »

Hi All.  A friend of mine has a 2.2 with cold start problem. when cold seems to have some sort of fuel starvation but once warm seems to be close to normal except that it seems to lack a little power if pushed hard on the motorway. I wondered wether this engine had a cold start sensor dont really know cus mines a 2.5 v6. can anyone help please.

2.2 does not have an ICV.

Any fault codes?

Start ok when warm?

Need the codes to be read really, sounds like cam/crank sensor.
