heres a very very simple way to disable a mig without fuse oulling or even opening the bonnet take the key and remove the buttons from the key very easy just use a screw driver in the little notch or pull apart
once you have done this remove the small chip that is on the key in a little notch DONT  LOOSE it mind but by removing that you cant start the car as its the imobilisers transponder

when trying to start the car without the chip the imobiliser light will flash to tell you its still active and wont allow the car to start!

then when your ready put the chip back in the key and away you go!

Removing the immobiliser chip on a set of keys would be my choice. It will avoid embarrassment if he'd tried to move it legitimately and had problems since you can just turn up to collect it, use your key and shrug your shoulders and say you'd never tried the spare key. :y

As others have said, remove transponder chip from key.

Cheers Guys, Excellent advice.

A better one is to give him my spare GLS key.  But as it panned out it has been a cracking day.

Woke to to a reminder that it was my birthday after a poor nights sleep.  Arranged to have my Miggy delivered at 2pm today and the guy didnt show, phoned and text him didnt get any replys, was just about to go out and enjoy a night out to celebrate and the phone rang.

I am pleased to say I now have my 3.0 Omega Elite. and it looks bloody luvly best birthday pressie I ever boght myslef.

Will be putting it on the road as soon as the GLS sells.

Nope, I'm just at that stage where I'm realising that I'm not 'young' any more. :'(
