The dreaded code 71 - again!
« on: 29 April 2008, 09:07:55 »

Drivers side air bag sensor.

If the rain holds off, will try cleaning up the multi-plug - again, then re-set it.

Flippin' heck.  That problem never seems to be fixed - though you had done it last time.

May be worth checking loom inside door for damage?

No, it wasn't fixed, when I went over to Marks last time, for him to do the mods, we discovered they had all been done.

The only thing we disturbed, was the multi-plug. Came on again the following day.

Cleaned up the contacts, been Ok for about 3/4 months (I think it was in Jan when I went to Marks).

Came on yesterday whilst driving.

Good job I hid his carkeys on saturday, else he would have driven home with my engine in bits ;D.  Then he would have missed me doing my 'self-harm' impression  :-[

Right, cleaned up the multi-plug - again.

Re-set the code.

Driven it around for about 1/2 hour, with lots of stop / starts.

Ok, at the minute!

Lets see how long that lasts!

I have an annoying similar fault with my drivers door speak being intermittent, and seems to improve after cleaning that connector...

I agree, these sort of faults are annoying, especially when you can't get to the bottom of them >:(
