Why do you need these things???? If this keeps up i'm fitting a towbar & getting a caravan (i'll be able to reverse it!!!) because satnavs are equally as sad.
   I'm not ranting, i'm begging...PLEASE STOPPIT. ::)
      Stupid worthless gimmick. Total waste of money & sadder than an anorak.
    I hope this does'nt count as a rant 'cos i promised to stop that but...........aaaaarrrrrghhh >:( >:( >:(
   I know i'm being irrational but i can't help it, sorry. :(
Been a Tomtom user since around 2003, can't live without it now.  So thats I have it.

everyone has there opinion. but when you drive a 55 foot artic, they come in very handy

 :y :y :y :y :y

...yes, and one of them ended up stuck down a country lane recently (in Cornwall or Devon) and had to be craned out!
 ;D ;D
Bear in mind, its a driver aid, not mandatory instruction.  To be honest, the media blow it out of proportion, unless there really are that many stupid people in the world.

I have never ended somewhere I can't go, though I tend to only use 'quickest' option.

 :)I admit it's an irrational hatred & they work fine for most, its my problem. Cockneyboy, @ 55ft you must be pulling abnormal/wide loads. Usual trailer lengths are 40/45ft. I drive an artic pulling containers on a skelly everyday so i'm HGV positive too, but don't satnavs need an upgrade to allow for low bridges, weight limits etc?

Caravans are harder to reverse than an artic. The shorter the trailer the quicker you have correct the lock. I learned before my hgv when we took up banger racing, bought a Transit  & car trailer then realized none of us could reverse it!!!! :-[
    We learned!!!

I know!  ;) I must admit to having a laugh at a lot of caravan sites  hen owners haven't a clue how to go backwards. Although there's a mover on  my 'van it's still easier & faster to reverse it all down the path with the car. It'll be even easier if I could ever train SWMBO to stand somewhere so that she can see the mirrors of the car  :-?, I get the occasional glimpse of her or vaguely hear an instruction of somekind!!  :-?  :-?  :-?

Try calling Teleatlas or Navteq, who can supply.

Blokes exaggerate sizes? Surely not! I once told a girl "when god made women drivers he was only joking". Straight off the cuff she fired back "that's 'cos you blokes tell us 6 inches is a foot"!!!
   She was always a good laugh. [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

I wasn't asking for an illegal copy, sorry if i gave that impression. If somebody has a cd that they are now not using or have a dead unit i would like to see if mine works. so i don't wanna pay navteq prices for  cd that i possible won't need.
