My book says 32psi front & rear, which is suprising for an estate.

As a rule of thumb you can't really go far wrong running 30 all round.

Tyre pressures seem to be one of life`s imponderables!

I think the owner`s manual recommended pressures relate ONLY to the factory-fit tyre brand.....aftermarket brands may require variance from those figures.
I found my Vredestein tyres (exactly the same size as factory-fit) needed to be at considerably higher pressures to stop uneven wear to outer-edges....which also had he effect of increasing the MPG.

On my estate I run pressures of 36 F./ 42 R.

Agree with Debs..I have Pirelli 6000,s all corners of mine on 16inch rims. Was advised to run 34 front and 40 rear,as always have a boot full of work bits but very rarely have any passengers. That seems to work fine, good comfortable ride and road holding and when the family pile in don,t notice any difference fully laden.

Spot on Debs - the recommended pressures for my facelift estate are way to low (for the front especially). Both outer edges wear.

My book says 31.5 front and rear normally and 36f/42r when loaded.
I stick with 32 for all, i got dunlop sp9000s and it seems fine. occasionally i bump it up if i'm doing a long trip with lots of stuff! Oh and my spare sits at 42 as i can always let it down if need be 8-)

Never tried going as low as 30..

One thing, I always use the same digital air pump at Tesco because i've found 32psi there can be 30 or 34 psi at other stations or on my hand tester! So maybe i'm not running a true 32, but it's always the same :) :y

Vectra Elite Estate doing good post-Omega service but still not as nice to sit in.

One last Omega on the drive, one Corsa on the lawn...maybe they'll go to a good home before too long!
