just changed her indoors elite from auto to manual,now we have no cruise control,any ideas?

eh no forgot to put that in,i thought maybe it was because the speed sensor isnt connected on the box anymore,or is that nothing to do with the cruise?

Cruise simply consists of the control box in the engine bay which senses where the accelerator cable is via the lead running from it...the pedal switches and the stalk...

You have to pick up a new 12V feed for the brake switch (cruise half) and fit a clutch switch.
The switch used to be supplied from the gearbox ecu and would have required the 'box to be in drive to activate the feed.
Have you also grounded a wire on the engine ECU or loom which was used by the 'box to retard the ignition??

not quite - it gets a nice speed signal from ABS, and uses that as a guide for how much to open/close throttle...

Think you need a clutch switch.  look at the loom above the clutch pedal: you should have a white 2 pin plug there somewhere.  Bridge the connections out and give it a try.  If cruise works then you know all you need is the switch.  Do not leave the bridge in there however: should only be used to test your system

Slight aside...my 2.5 estate is manual...doesnt have cruise currently...is it likely to have the pedal switches anyway??

Autos seem to have a different wiring loom to manuals so the clutch switch connector will not be there. Im sure the problem is that there is no 12V feed to the cruise pedal switch(s) anymore....have to take a new connection from 12V switched (F15 iirc)
