i don,t no about the size but the speed rating is wrong.HR is only 130 mph and your car should have ZR,YorW speed rating or your insurance could be invalidated if your laws are the same as ours in the uk HTH :y

On paper it looks do-able:

Speed rating is an issue and check the load rating to.

Also beware of the insurance.

As for the extra width, not going to be a big issue as the increase is not vey large so shouldn't foul the front strutt

American Cateras don't use W's as apparently they don't drive as fast as we do in Europe  ;) (so says Michelin), but I would reckon it would still need V rated

With fuel prices the way they are, bah I really don't think I'll be doing over 130 :)

In the states insurance companies only care about the payments, they don't inspect the cars, states do to pass yearly inspection (at least in NY). You have to see what pieces of shite we have running around.

My normal driving is between 55-85 with occasional blasts over 100

Come on then! How much are you paying for your fuel? Somehow I guess we will wish ours was as CHEAP!
At the moment our petrol/gasoline is about £1-15 a LITRE
Our gallon is bigger than yours so wouldn't be a fair comparison

OK I have an UK Tax question. If I am wrong please enlighten me

The way I understand the workings of UK taxes is that  incomes/state taxes do not include payment into building/maintaining roads, I believe this is the same through th EU. The roads are kept up through fuel tax, so only those who use them pay for it. If I am correct you gas tax is more than 1/2 the cost of the fuel itself.

In the US we pay Federal & local tax (Includes roads) plus @ $4.00+ a gallon, only about $1.25 is tax.

We have a Car Tax/VED that is supposed to pay for road upkeep. Prices vary from around £60 to £400 a year depending on car.

Fuel tax is currently around 70p per litre, and we pay VAT on the fuel+tax price. Petrol here is £1.20 per litre, with about 90p going to governement

Very major highways & motorways(freeways) are paid for & maintained by the Highways Agency. Local roads are paid & maintained by local taxes.
About 75% of our fuel is tax of some kind! >:(

Additionally, there are 4.5 litres to a UK gallon (bit more than US gallon), so out petrol is around £5.50 ($10+) per (UK) gallon, and diesel is over £6.00
