Hey, why dont you reach up under the left side wheel arch you will see and feel the air pump motor assembly. Feel arount the top of the motor body and remove the electrical connector - This disables the pump. I disconnected mine this evening and voalla: no more noise at startup.

I started my car on the drive this morning. Didnt drive off. Reved the engine gently and the noise does get louder.

But, this drone stops far sooner than I thought, Literally within 1-2 mins. So must be the SAI pump.

Ill have a feel tonight for this plug.

There is definitely a single fuse (F49, 50A) and a relay (K162) that live in the under bonnet fuse box that both only control the SAI in your car.

I had a good look - but I can't find a picture.

If you look in the under bonnet fuse box next to the battery I think it's the only 50A fuse in there.
