Is it possible
« on: 06 June 2008, 11:52:22 »

Is [ch305]t possible to change left side ( passenger side-UK)  exhaust

manifold gasket in situ (ie without dissassembling the engine) as it

started to leak with a disturbing noise..

Any experiences ..Thanks :-/

ps: nowadays budget is limited so engine or cylinder head out is no option..

Yes, its actually a bit easier than the drivers.

You need to support teh engine and remove the drivers side engine mount and unbolt the passenger side one.

You can now shift the donk over by an inch or so which lets you get the manifold off and clear of any studs which remain in the head.

I was lucky that all my studs came out with the nuts, so all i had to do was remove the engine mount for access :y
