Camshaft Position Sensor !
« on: 12 June 2008, 00:58:20 »

Hi. I was just cleaning oil on camshaft covers and removed the sensor. After that it wont start. Next day it was ok until i turned the engine off. after couple hour it will start again. I am sure i have installed the sensor as it was. Today mornin started the car, went to work and its dead now. I have checked it makes no sparks, not suplying fuel as well. Does it makes any sense that I have damaged the sensor accidently ??? Or it might be something else???

Done paper clip test and it came up with 12 and 31. Nothing else.

Could be the crank sensor - you won't get any codes up because you can't flash them with the engine running.  Check the wiring and plugs are connected correctly as I think the camshaft sensor connects to the crank sensor (from memory) but don't quote me on that.
