Warning Lights
« on: 13 June 2008, 18:24:58 »

Hi all .....
Driving home tonight the control indicator for engine electronics came on ... the car started to idle roughly at traffic lights ....then it went out and the exhaust emission light then came on and has stayed on .... if i rev the engine slowly it seems fine ... if i put the foot down it hesitates and then seems to pull away ok .... anyone know what the likely cause of this may be  :-/

Cheers

You need to get the fault codes read, and post them up on here.

As AA says you need to get codes read........

But on a 2.2 EML comes on if missfires detected.......and could explain why the emissions light came on too....

I think i might be inclined to have the coil pack out and see if the plug wells are filling up with water/oil.....in the absense of codes.
