Dear all

A few weeks ago I cured a chronic oil leak (camshaft covers) on my 1999 2.5CDX auto Omega estate that included cleaning lots of oil from plugs wells etc.

After this all went well, except now i get intermittent starting problems (hot and cold).
Based on advice on the forum i have checked:
- HT leads, Coil Pack, Paperclip test all OK, no faults found.

I still have the problem. The only thing I can suspect is I have twice removed the crank sensor, inspected and cleaned lots of oil from it!!!

Could this be the problem???

If so How do i remove the excess oil that is obviously swimming round between the flywheel and autobox (I could not see a drain plug??)

Any help or suggetions greatfully received... I love my 'bomber omega estate'  ;Dbut my wife is keen for me to 'sell' now the car is acting up !!!!

Oh I forgot to add, it cranks over OK and runs fine once going... just an annoying failure to fire (and its very embarrassing sitting in the car while it whirs round without firing!!)
