I'm with ABS .. very good service, and my experience with VX dealers has been excellent .. my local one even gives me "normal" trade discount on non-TC items ..   :y :y :y

£20 well spent IMHO  ..  :) :)

You only need an "interest" in the V6 to be eligible to join ..... as you are obviously jealous of the power, smoothness and flexibility of the V6, this displays the required degree of "interest" .. so join up ..  :y :y :y

 ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
True! 4pot shouldn't be in Omega!
ABH or VXon? which one do you trink is better?

Seeing as VxON, to the best of my knowledge, they are still yet to send out a TC card, and some people have been waiting 2yrs for it, I reckon ABS is a better option if its just the TC card you want.

I have sign up with ABS – 5l oil for £11…
BTW - How does it work? What does the club have to do to get a discount and to issue TC to users?

Wouldn't it be good if OOF members could get one just because we are OOF members?  OK..some conditions would probably have to be met (100/250/500 posts)?

To provide TC through OOF, we have to make a number of changes to our setup, including charging to become a member of the club, and we are all against that - we prefer to provide all our info for free, and let you pay another club to get the TC, if that makes sense?

I wonder if there's a way round this, by offering a "Premium Membership" level at a nominal £5...no real change, just a TC?

What are the regulations about TC cards for clubs? I am thinking about polish clubs as this is nothing I would know - I can get parts from Opel with employee discount which is smaller than TC card.
I could as GM in Poland if they would like to allow polish Opel owners/club members to get a TC card.
BTW - are rocker cover on the TC list?

Personally, I am against tiered membership, as it implies some members are 'better' members than others.

There are many more hoops to jump through as well - it is not really geared up for Internet clubs.

Tradeclub is Vauxhall only, so go use outside of UK. Not sure if Opel run such a scheme - you will need to check with an Opel Dealer.

Rocker covers are not on the list - TC is for common service parts, and damaged rocker covers are not a common problem, and are not a service item.

I know that we (Opel Club Poland) would have to ask GM (Opel Poland) about any possibility of similar scheme. I don't want to use ABS TC there- it won't work :). I am asking about the rulea of UK scheme (number of members, time of forum existence etc) so that we would have an idea, how it works in UK and ask Opel Poland to do the same thing. I am sure that they don't know anything about it so it would be easier to know the rules given by Vx UK, before asking GM Poland.

I must say that rocker covers are quite common problem, but what can you do... :)

One more thing – I am a 2.0l Omega owner. Am I eligible to get discounts for this engine spare parts? I’ve seen blue book from 2006 but I could only find discounted products for V6, few for TD and nothing for my 2.0.
