xenon light self level

hello i was in my car today and the light on the dash came on to confirm a problem with my xenons so when i came home pulled off the nearside front + nearside rear expecting to find one of the plastic wee arms broken or come off but no they are still fitted and connected correctly including the wiring plugs, so wer do you look next? and the headlights are now adjusted to blind uncoming cars and i have to drive in the dark tonight as i work night shift >:( any bright ideas to sort this out asap thanks in advance

Are both high, or just one? If later, it'll be servo, if both, a problem with one of sensors still most likely

the two of them appear to be level just too high so i suppose i could manually adjust them down abit till i find out which one is faulty, i suppose it is a tec 2 session to find which it is complianing about?

worth a search, its been well covered on here. Next port of call after level sensors, i believe, is servos behind the lights them selves, fuses ok? Beyond my experience after sensors, i am afraid.

It would need a technician who knew how to interperate the live data figures.

May be worth unclipping sensors, and playing with them by hand to see what the lights do.

tried this with the back one and the head lights did not respond so it may be that one that is at fault or then again when the light is on the dash it might stop any self leveling taking place  :question i don.t no but will go out and try the front one to see if it does the same

When you get error on MID, it should attempt to go to low position...

When you get error on MID, it should attempt to go to low position...
the lights are a little high , today looked at front sensor and removed it looks fine and when i moved it the lights moved a tiny bit and the light when off on the dash but the returned >:( how do these sensors work :question took it apart and looks as new but still no joy,does anybody on the forum have any spare sensors? also is the facelift different to the pre facelift :question

had a bit of a fondle with the sensor and the problem has gone away 8-)so hopefully it will stay that way for ever ;D but not likely

The sensor on the wishbone is a usual culprit, degrease, pull it around then grease it back up...
