EML light

Hi all,
About 5 minutes after starting my Mig the EML came on & the car seemed to have lost a couple of cylinders. Remained like that till I stopped ( about 3/4 mile ). Switched off & re-started, everything back to normal no EML no misfire.
Is this a sign that something about to fail ?

Your best bet is to get tech 2 plugged in and see what dtc`s you`ve got mate. :y

You can try the pedal trick and you should be able to flash any stored codes.  Press the brake and accelerator to the floor then turn the ignition to position 2 (do not start the car), count the flashes and post up your results.

Yes, press both accelerator and brake down, and switch on ignition, and post up flash codes on dash

Hi, Are you sure you counted correct. P0400 is EGR flow malfunction.
All DTC's 0400 to 0409 are all EGR related
But as far as I am aware, 2.6  V6 does not have EGR system

I will check again in the morning, it was very bright this afternoon when I did , I may have miscounted.

Couldn't get that code from top buzz either but a google search seems to suggest it is related to random misfires.  That would make alot of sense considering that is the problem you have mentioned in your original post.  Time to look at the ignition system.  Not sure exactly the set up on the 2.6 but dispack, leads and plugs are first point of call if applicable.  Also check injector wiring condition (splits etc).
