Car sounds noisier
« on: 08 July 2008, 08:15:31 »

May be my imagination, and Ljays ;)

my MV6 sounds noisier than it did, almost a 'performance' exhaust type sound, but not that loud.

Exhaust seems fine and is very new, maybe the diff, could convince myself its a bass'y diff whine?  I know the pinion seal weeps a little.

Any ideas?

Saggy exhaust mount or slightly iffy join somewhere? Does it happen all the time? My Jetex gives me the vibes when the car leans to the right.

A leak from exhaust connections or welded (if welded) areas

is the first point of check for me..

:o ::) ;D

Oh, road kill wrapped round drive shafts is not fun. Mate of mine had to remove some entrails from the propshaft UJ once. Think it used to be a rabbit - or a squirrel. :-/  Made a hell of a noise as it rattled around in his transmission tunnel - and a bit of a mess.

Try hitting a fox with the nosewheel of an aircraft doing 160mph on landing ......  now that REALLY makes a mess .... :(

I got the fire services to hose the nosewheel bay out .. blood and guts everywhere .. stank for weeks .. especially as it went somewhere "hot and dry" very shortly after .....  :(
