what size battery??

my battery doesn seem powerful enough for doris, the one in there seems a bit small in my opinion. its gone flat twice now when aircon is on and radio. it seems more suited for a corsa or micra

Just bought Vx 66 amp/hr OE battery for 2.5 Elite Estate on TC - no probs.

Having the aircon on will make no difference to the battery.....having the aircon on doesnt consume any more electrical power (not any significant amount anyway)
And the radio will use buggar all as well.......even if its on without the engine running.

So either your battery is on its last legs.........or something else is draining it.......assuming it hasnt got a corsa battery fitted  ;D

The aircon needs the fan. And fans draw big amps when on full.

However, the alternator should still cope by a long way. Looks like battery to me too.

The aircon needs the fan. And fans draw big amps when on full.

The fans will only be in slow mode for the aircon......not really drawing much power....and only other power being used for the aircon that i can think of is for the solenoid for the aircon and that wont be much either.

As you say tho........alternator should be easily able to cope  :y

That is a good point tho.........have you checked the charging voltage at idle and running at a few k revs........alternator might not be charging, giving out enough current.......its been known before that the alternator is at fault  ;)
