Oil switch location.

Due to the problem with the oil light coming on at tickover a couple of times last saturday night,consequentely l had the oil and filter changed last sunday morning as it hadn,t been changed for twelve months(given wrong information on frequency of oil changes)          
I have driven the car every day this week and it hasn,t happened since the oil change,I have decided to change the oil pressure switch,can anybody tell me where it is located on my car.2.0ltr W reg  auto.

This is on a V6 but as the sumps are all the same it should be the same location I'm assuming that is:

Thanx for the photo, mine needs changing as well, and had got info that it was here or thereabouts.  Just confirmed today, exactly in position shown.

Anyone know the cost of the switch from Vauxhall?

I changed mine last year and was about £6 on a TC so no more than a tenner is a good guess.

I'm guessing its still in the same place as my earlier 2.0..from underneath, you'll see a single wire going just behind (towards rear of the car) the oil filter.  It's the only other single wire conection on the engine, bar the temp sensor under the DIS pack, that I know of...

I have a slight oil leak in that vicinity so not knowing where the oil switch was (now i know) i think it would be fair to assume thats were its leaking from are they troublesome for leaks as my previous 2.5 cdx also ad a leak around there i thought it maybe crankshaft seal
ill get my man to check it out

Not sure how common a fault but a bit awkward to replace as it really needs to be done underneath the car - so a bit of fiddling with the bottom protector. Am away at sea at the mo so can't access the instructions to do it properly.  Hopefully someone can pitch in with a more detailed description for your man - or even you it's not that difficult :y
