flat battery

got outside today,whent to start the car      nothing dead    managed to get it jump stated with a neighbor. the car had not been started for a few days and once i got it started i have noticed that the little green light on the battery has gone out.  i have checked the battery with a multimeter and get 14.8 at tickover and 12.8 not running. do you think i should buy a new battery cos i'm towing the pikey wagon to whitby on the 17th.

Voltages sound about right.
Why dont u charge battery up (Go for a run) and see if it holds charge OK.
New batteries are good deal on Vx TC

There is such a thing as 'relationship ensurance'. This is the stuff you do to ensure your relationship continues. It mostly involves work. Sometimes, it involves effective forward planning - especially when Holidays are involved.

Buying a new battery just so Easteners doesn't cut out 1/2 way through while viewing in the pikey wagon could well be an installment on your relationship ensurance. And probably cheap at half the price :)
