age?

Being a sport i would suspect 2002 ish.

Why on earth they badged the 2.2 a sport i will never know, its not sporty!!

Don't pay any more than 2.4k

Is average, nothing more.
Its not that bad and you did get MV6 bumpers and trim :)
These do make quite good money but if you can get it for under £2750 then its a good buy ;)

I have a 2.2 manual, and its not sporty!

Spent a lot of time getting performance back, lots of oil changes breather cleaning, its picked up.

But still slow as fek.

£2750 is overpriced, there is a 2001 3.2 MV6 retail spec with 49k miles going for 2.6k.

Its worth 2.4k max.

You really cant compare the price of a 3.2 MV6 to a 2.2..  The V6's are near enough worthless at the moment, I've seen two 02 plate 2.6 V6's scrapped with reasonable mileage.. One had a failed CHG and the other had a failed oil cooler..

Both weighed in for scrap because its just not worth the agro of selling an oldish large saloon these days.

I doubt my immaculate 60k mile CD is worth any more than £1,500 in todays market.

Benifit we have is public assume the 3.2 is "gas guzzler", we all know its economy is not far off a 2.2!

If i was buying again, i would get a 3.2

3.2 is much worse, mpg wise.  2.5/2.6 seems a good compromise

Yes, but you are young, live at home, do virtually zero miles, with no responsibilities ;)

Thats alright, i didnt think you was being mean anyways. BTW the M power badge WILL be coming off.

So what spec should the "Sport" or "CDX" come with? i.e. what would you expect to find in this car?

If it's anything like the MV6 spec the roof won't have been ruined by fitting a sunroof either. :y

Well its got,

HIDS (xenons if thats the same thing :S)

CDR 2006 Headunit (not sure which one that is, its the single CD player - BTW does this play MP3 CD's)

Leccy windows all around, climate (yup and yup)

Thats about it! (its also got sunroof, and a wierd blind thing at the rear window :S)

Looks like its CDX then but with sport interior (o and an M Sport badge :P)

Going to be adding the Cruise control, Just another thought, is it also as easy to add traction control or not :/

Cruise was not standard, but nice easy mod. And does any one have a photo of what the Sport  (or elite) spoiler looks like please. I seen some on ebay but they all look like dodgey copys and all look different.

CDR 2006 doesn't play MP3s, I'm afraid. It's a reasonable 4 CD changer. Fm radio is a bit pants, IMHO.

Traction control is not implemented on the engine ECU on the 4 pot engines so that's not possible. (It's not worth having on the V6, IMHO.)
