Its cheaper than I paid - £1850 + VAT - ... but I went for BRC system which is a more expensive.

major differences are ...

system BRC v Lovatogas (?)
1000 m v 2000 m free service
Interest free option was not available to me
pick up/collection not offered
Full valet not offered ( but the car was NOT made dirty in any way)
I had a free courtesy car for the week

Given those points it seems a fair price .. but I've never heard of "lovatogas" system in all the research I did over 3 months !!

You "may" wish to consider/contact

http://www.amsautogas.com

They did mine and I would vouch for them any day, not cheap agreed but I'm pleased and those OOFers who have looked (WIM & The Lakes) seem reasonably impressed. I do know they now have a long waiting list ... October I believe but you would have to check.

Thanks Entwood,  :ywas at the wim day, looked like everyone approved of yours, tidy. first one i have seen, but i have an idea what to expect now. i guess they could do away with the valve addative and the bit about the tank size is a bit vague but i want a wheel well tank as i need the through space, so maybe cheeper with a mid size tank 64 ltrs. is yours a multi point system?(what ever that is,M dtm recomended it) i guess it is. the quote does not specify. ill google the kit and see what happens :-?

was hoping someone would know thier work, after seeing Dannys mare :o

For an injected engine like Omega's have it MUST be a sequential multi-point injected system .. if the quote is for anything less ... walk away !!

You could always give Patrick a ring at the link I gave and discuss your requirements .. he does know his stuff and is very helpful

Also bear in mind that a doughnut tank for the spare wheel area will be more expensive (100 quid or so more) and maximum size is about 60 litres (and it'll only fill to 80% of that).

Does that only apply to V6's?  I've nearly got my lambda controlled mixer setup working on my 2.0 - but if its essential, then looks like a front end upgrade needed!

There is evidence of a sequential injection system in the pictures.

Lovato have been around since God was a lad, in LPG terms...my dad used to do LPG conversions 25-30 years ago and used their stuff - not sure nowadays, but was the best back then.

dohnut tank is More £ than a 100 litre tank?i was assuming the largest tank available would be 100 litre? So more £ for a smaller tank, if thats correct?
A Dohnut tank would be 48 litres roughly, then. 22 litre less less than my petrol fuel tank.  206 miles range if it was petrol based on 300 miles a tank i get at the moment.(ish, i keep booting it at 5am) so what range can be had from 48 litres of gas with my driving?180miles???

I better use the quotes i cant keep up.

SGI systems will always be superior to mixers but there are mixer systems on the 4 pots that seem to work reasonably well.

Due to the multiram system through which the V6 breathes, and the fact that there is a separate closed loop lambda system for each bank, it is rather difficult to get a mixer system to work successfully - and, given the price of SGI systems these days, not worth bothering, IMHO.

Sorry .. I keep forgetting there are some Omega's with only 2/3 rds of an engine   ;D ;D ;D

I should have said for the V6 engine sequential multipoint is essential, as Kevin has rightly explained  ..  :y :y

Yep. Due to the more complex construction doughnut tanks are more expensive pretty much regardless of size.

I was seriously interested in a vertical doughnut tank but in the end decided the range was going to be a pain. In addition, all the weight ends up on one side of the car, right at the back and they can play up if not installed absolutely vertical.

Given the rams and dual throttle body setup of a V6, it would have to be a very trick mixer system to work properly!  Agreed, an SGI system would be best but i'll see how i do with the mixer first.
