Hi all

as im pretty new to the omega world I need yet more help!!!!

I have an annoying oil leak , the evidence seems to point to something dripping onto the starter motor casing, whats is above the starter motor and how do I get to it whatever it is!!!!

Almost certainly a leak from the camcover seal. Have a look in the Maintainance Guide section, theres one for replacing the seals and also cleaning out the engine breathers which is the root cause of camcover leaks.

Only use genuine VX seals (available through the shop on here) pattern ones last a month or so then harden and leak again.

I had a long standing leak onto the starter motor from the breather box. This is now sealed to the block with a Grey sealant rather than a gasket. Worth checking this at the same time as the rocker cover (see here for picture http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1192573982) it is held on with four torx bolts and like ly to be full of gunge. If the rocker cover gasket or breather box is leaking there is a good chance that it is because the breather system is blocked, possibly at the connectors marked in the photo, so worth cleaning as well. Follow instructions in the how to.
