Towbar  Suitability

Hi all
Im looking for atowbar to fit my 2001 CDX Estate, there are a coupl eon ebay at the mo
320286949988
and
120296309837  

the ads say they are from 96/97 estates,
question is will they fir my 2001 facelift ?

Both of these have been removed from vehicles that did not need type approval.  yours needs a type approved bar for it to be legal.  If they are stamped type approved then you are fine but otherwise not - may invalidate insurance etc

second, do not get one with the 4 bolts - witter on their website say they fit with 6 bolts so 6 bolts it is

I'll never mess around with second hand towbars again, and not try and fit a new one again! I use a guy that is from the North-East to do mine, the last 2 he has supplied and fitted cheaper than I can buy the kits alone for (on a Golf mk4 and a Primera)
Might be worth giving him a shout http://www.automobile-northeast.com/

I'll be giving him a call to fit the second socket onto my car soon!
