Instrument Cluster Bulb Replacement - Facelift
« on: 20 August 2008, 16:43:49 »

Hi,

I'm sure this has been covered before, but I can't seem to find it....

One of the bulbs has gone on my 2003 Omega 2.2DTi Estate's instrument cluster. The one behind the right of the speedo, and behind the fuel gauge to be precise.

I imagine that this is a simple job to get at and replace, but don't want to end up unscrewing/breaking the wrong bits in my quest to remove the instrument cluster (if that is what I need to do....)

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a guide as to how to replace the bulb?

Cheers,

ChocolateMonster

VAU 093190932   £1.03 ex-VAT  Caffyns April 2008

VAU 093190467   £0.72 ex-VAT      "  "     "       "

These are the numbers for both sizes of bulbs found on the panel; I believe if I remember correctly the top one is the larger of the two, but it is worth getting a number of them to replace all whilst you are at it!  ;)

On my facelift I believe it was two large and 4 or six small, but I could be wrong. :-/ :-/  Getting old and my mind is going! ;D ;D ;)

Sorry I missed this question;  it is very easy to see which is which and they simply twist out. :y

Pull left hand side back towards you to release elec connectors then slide out to the left - right hand side fits into clip.  Took me 10 mins to get out & fit new bulbs & refit.  By the way i didn't disconnect the battery - too much hassle in recoding everything - altho i suspect others will recommend you disconnect it (safe practice!)
