an anypne tell me best palce to buy brakes discs an pad for 2003 2.6 estate?

Thanks very much....  what should I be paying?

Vauxhall's own ... and get them on trade club if you can .. TC is £20 a year from www.autobahnstormers.com, takes about a week to come through, or PM andyc - a member here who will give you trade club prices .. but you'll have to pay postage as well.

Best value and performance is held to be the VX genuine ones, obtained on Trade Club prices at around £80 or so per axle set including pads.

Search 'Trade Club' to get the gist of whats meant....

Its a general opinion on here that Vx pads and discs offer the best value for money. Esp with a trade club card. Something like £70 per axle. But others will confirm the price more accuractely no doubt.

Get Vx discs (set incl pads) - aftermarket ones will not last very long (bitter experience!)

This is one of the few items that must be replaced by genuine Vx parts.

It's very easy to get blase about these things when you have a TC, forgetting the difference in prices for those that dont.  ATE are an OEM level tier 1 supplier, and as such should be very bit as good as the VX part.

Agreed, apart from a TC is obtainable by all for 20 quid a year.  You would just about save that on the disks/pads pack, never mind the rest of annual spend on oil,filters etc...

AS I already said .. andyc .. a senior member here will provide parts at trade club prices to those who don't have a TC ... just costs a bit in postage..

TBH .. I can't see why any OOF member does NOT apply to ABS for a card .. the £20 is recouped on the first visit to the dealers.

Anyone can get a card .. ABS membership requires an INTEREST in the omega V6 .. all 4 pot and oil burning owners are naturally jealous of the smoothness and power of the V6 .. you are therefore "interested" in them .. thus entitled to ABS membership and a trade card ...

As an example .. I assume all OOF members do regular oil changes. Recommended oil is Vx 10W40

so you get £100 worth of oil for £30 !!! now that is a saving of 3 1/2 times the cost of the card !!

and we haven't started on filters, wipers, brake discs etc etc etc

Its a no-brainer to me  

BTW .. all prices exclude VAT  and have gone up slightly recently , but the principle remains
