They are very rare to pick up second hand - best place is German eBay (www.ebay.de).

Firstly are you using a genuine or copied Nav Disc? The laser units fail because the extra strain cd-r's put on them.

I have a limited number of replacement laser units for the NCDR/C Nav drives but you'd have to find someone prepared to fit it.

hi there, thanks for swift reply. the original disc i used was genuine. when that one started playing up i used a copy. that also played up. my cd player also plays up sometimes byplaying, stopping for a bout 10 seconds and then carries on playing. the sat nav is what i really want to get working again. how much for your lasers?

Hmmm, sounds like your 4 disc changer is dying as well. If that's the case you may well be better off buying an unpaired unit from ebay.de.

The lasers for the nav work out around £40 + P&P, your problem will be finding a repair place that will fit it for reasonable money.

If you do find a replacement unit it MUST be unpaired from the display and in delivery mode otherwise you'll have bought an expensive door stop.

will look on german ebay, but will also try to find someone that can do the work of replacing the old laser, also glad you mentioned about buying one in delivery mode as i didnt have a clue about that. thanks once again and might get back to you about the lasers.
