Which locks and sets the alarm? Which locks without setting the alalrm?

1st press of button locks the doors (and sets alarm) 2nd click deadlocks the car...

once deadlocked press and hold the button and all the windows and sunroof will shut (assuming they have been set properly and close automatically when you press the window button)

and just incase u didnt know it means u can open the car door with the button inside the car so if the glass is smashed the toerags still cant get into it without climbing through the broken window

Can't you hold down the button on the first blip to operate the total closure without deadlocking?  I do that, but maybe it deadlocks anyway?

The only way to lock without arming the alarm is to use the key in the door.  The final option is to press the alarm button on the dash (person running away symbol) before you get out the car and blip.  This disables the cabin alarm sensors but the rest of the alarm still arms - used for when you lock a dog in there or something.

i have to hold my button untill it shuts all the way - wouldnt it just be easier to shut them all b4 you get out?

well ive learnt a lot about my key now, didnt know i had these features, deadlock and wondered how that symbol worked on the dash

In many ways it is since they're all one touch!  But auto total closure is cool

A number of ebay sellers offer a little kit that you can wire in which operates the total closure on the deadlock signal and does the job without you having to stand there like a fool until all the windows are closed.  There's a guide on here on how to fit one from totalclosure.com.  Meaning to get one myself!
