Thought changing discs and pads would cure this problem.

If i brake whilst turning the steering wheel (in either direction), the car pulls in the opposite direction!  Quite scary when you want to go round a left corner, brake the car tried to go into the centre of the road!!!

Car does not pull to either side when I brake in a straight line.

Do I have some sort of suspension probs?

Your camber may be out by the sounds of things.....
How are your tyres looking???

A trip to WIM os similar may be in order here me thinks.

check the usual classics,wishbone bushes, stearing idler and broken springs. Tyres wear on inside edges is sure sign you camber is out. Any tram lineing, or constant correction of steering wheel  means play somewhere. A trip to wim will diagnose this no doubt.

Yes, I'm getting the insides off the tyre wearing down quite quickly.

I've had the tracking done and adjusted.

I think there is something major wrong with suspension/geometry as it loses grip even in the dry when going round roundabouts!

ok,a phew things,if you go to wim as is, they will diagnose, but they wont be able to do the final set up if there is play in what ever is wrong. So you need to check wishbone bushes for play, idler for play and springs for any breakages. Fix what is wrong and get it to wim so that they can do final set up, asap,  reason being, with camber as is, you may well rip the inside edge out of the tyre altogether risking a blow out! If you hear a metal ting ting ting noise from the front it will be the wire out of the tyre hitting the bottom of the spring cup on the shock. One cabbaged tyre, or 2 and a blow out is a sneeze away!
If you find no play and no busted springs then great, straight to wim and get a full geometry set up, but this is only likely if you have had these parts changed recently. At a wim day meet 13 of 15 cars had shot wishbones bushes. So my pound is on them.
 Have a search on all that and see how you go.

My steering wheel is not in the straight ahead position after ATS did the tracking....could this be the cause?

Or am just delaying the Inevitable wishbone replacement.

Or perhaps just get another car!

Wishbones are about £50 the pair, and are not hard to change at all.
Should ony take about 30-40mins per side.
There is a good How to in the maintenance section.

Surely not worth changing the car for that?? :-/

Well, its problem after problem.....

Only had 6 months and spent so much on it

Another problem I  have is a seized rear brake caliper piston.  3 of the   rear pins holding the pads in, did not want to come out!  Managed to get them out somehow, but wont be able to use them again.

Three of the caliper pistons slide back in nicely, one is stuck fast!  

Also one of the rear shocks doesn't look bolted in right at the wheel.  Looks different to the other side - in fact doesn't look right at all.

don't waste money on tracking, its usually fairly pointless, because the best you can do (with 4 wheel alignment) is make sure the front is in line with the back.  Trouble is, how do you know if back is pointing straight forward?  Then there's camber....

Problem is getting to WIM at the moment.

Not sure how much longer I can put up with the car!!!
