Well, I had similar symptoms with my car - a late 97 2.5 V6. I tried allsorts but it was the ABS ECU. Fairly common problem on cars of about that and later age. Hence the request to put vehicle details on your profile. it helps for this and any future questions.

Do a search on the general help on ABS ECU and you will find loads of helpful info. I don't know where you are but you can get the ECU refurbished by a compnay called BBA Reman for example. Fiddly job but not too expensive.

Seems like ABS ECU..But before going in expense I would try an expert with  a real Tech II ..

ABS ECU on mine put the TC, ABS lights ON and lost speedo .. his problem is slightly different as I read it .. no lights/no speedo ..

I'm wondering if there's a common power supply or fuse ? I'm assuming all other bulbs work so it shouldn't be the dash plug being loose...  should it ???

I do suspect theat the ABS lamp/bulb has been removed or has blown!

1998 and later ABS ECUs are prone to this problem.

Hi - is the steering heavier too??  When my ABS ECU failed it affected the steering as well as no speedo and the ABS/TC lights were illuminated.

Not even when you first turn the ignition on? That's why I suggested the lamps/bulbs might be missing/blown. Dash removal is only a 10 min job to check.

Sometimes finding the right ECU isn't easy.  There is a places that fixes for £125 (you send them ecu, they return in a few days).

Put the bulbs back in dash, and see what lights are on...

Deffo ABS ECU - if u go down 2nd hand route u want one from same year & model as yours ideally.  Look for same part nº.

Fix the dash bulbs first though  :y
