I'm suffering from advanced tyre wear and need to fix cause before fitting new boots. Ideally a visit to WIM is the answer but time and distance prohibit, and anyway, if it is wishbones, would need to change first.
What do you guys think?

def looks like wishbone bush failure - not uncommon as you already know.  hth

Looks like too much camber to me. Unlikely to be caused directly by wishbones but check them before spending on alignment.

The front is camber......and more so on the OSF.

Have the tyres been swapped front to rear at any point?

No  not swopped, and fronts were new when i bought it last December and the rears fairly new.
Can't remember what the fronts are but the rears are Nankang ditchfinders which actually seem ok

Just read Tony from WIM's explanation in FAQ's about camber.
This could be related to the fact that the front springs seem very soft - always hitting the spliter on the road on the downside of speed bumps -even when i'm not flying
Could be looking at new springs and shocks then before alignment.

Sounds more like its not damping properly than what would be a weaker spring.

I find the KYB ones excellent.....plus Bilstein if you want it a little firmer.

Actually Vx seem cheapest at 42.22+vat trade club!

Mine was suspected camber too - however it turned out it was the tracking (toe) eating the inner edges...

In the end, we just adjusted the camber as far as it would go! But, this was long after it was just starting to show..

Even after we made this adjustment - it ate a new set of tyres again.

It was only after Tony set the Toe that it is fixed..

My fronts were down to the canvas on the inner edges, rears weren't so bad but still worn in the same area. Tracking was out everywhere and the front rods were seized. New front track rods and toe adjustment seem to have cured it, no sign of uneven wear 10,000 miles later.

I think the wishbones have had it because the car's behaving like a total moron on twisty roads and I get shudder under braking, but my understanding is this will cause accelerated wear across the whole tread, not just on the inner edge, if it's left much longer.
