Exhausts.
« on: 15 September 2008, 19:16:37 »

The Beastie is in Rebel Powerpipes as we speak for a full stainless steel de cat system. This bloke is known & admired round here for his work, custom made & lifetime guarantee but he admitted that before looking he was'nt sure whether a twin exit is possible on a saloon given the fuel tank. If it can be done he'll do it but i may have to settle for a single exit. I'll save £150 if not.
Does anyone know either way? Cheers, Guy. [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

Twin exit...as in 2 pipes out of the backbox??

Most if not all elites have this so definitely can be done...

Hi Cem. How are you? Being a 3.0 it's already got a twin exit to the left of the car but i'm hoping to have a twin exit on the right as well like a duplex exhaust. She'd look & sound great...fingers crossed. :y

Fine..Thanks AmigoV6.. :y

Really seen some on the roads with twin exhausts (also on the right side)..

Here handworks are mostly good and cheap..I'm sure they built

special with some heat insulators..Only thing that wories me is the life

of those works will be short if not totally stainless steel..  :-/

Irmscher omega twin exhaust is what I think you are on about.  The O/S side pipe comes out from the rear box and then turns and goes across the back panel to exit on the drivers side of the car.  :y

Am trying to find a pic as we speak.

As said if it can be done he'll do it. Owing to work shifts Markey Mark took her in for me so i'm like the proverbial expectant father pacing up & down...won't settle 'til i know. All stainless steel though & lifetime guarantee. I'll know in a day or two but for now i'm like a kid on Xmas eve!!! >:( ::)

Tried my hardest to find the pic I have, but sadly cant find it, tried thier web site and looked round the net.

The pic I have I am sure is off the forum from some one.

Either way, am looking forward to seeing pics in the gallery.  :y :y :y

Sadly he reckoned the "other" exit would be a little too close to the fuel tank heat wise so a single exit it is. However the job is done & Markey Mark's collecting her tomorrow, taking her home to fit the recaro leather & BOSE system so she's gonna sound good in & out!!!
    I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8-)

Cheers BB. I'll ask some further questions. Is it possible for any details or even pics of how the system was routed please?
    Cheers, Guy. :-/

Heres the pics you asked for I hope they help. They have put a heat shield over the tank and put the rear silencers on differently and welded them together to stop them hitting into each other.
