Low Beam Fld/Vision
« on: 15 September 2008, 21:12:28 »

Hi Guys

Hope someone can help me.

I made an attempt last week to replace my side light bulbs. I only managed to change the offside as the nearside one was to small a gap tp get my hand in, suppose I'll have to take out the battery?

Anyway since then I have had "Low Beam Fld/Vision" coming up on the display every time I start the car. It's driving me nuts >:(

I've had a look to see if I have dislodged any connectors but can't see anything obvious, but to no avail.

The car is Face lift with Xenon bulbs and self leveling.

Can anyone advise me please

Check the connector to the leveling motor on the side where you replaced the bulb....failing that, check the front and rear level sensors

Is that the one with the flex cable with a rubber boot entering sideways into the plastic housing?

No, that sounds like the HID feed....the motor is further down.

Is there any diagrams anywhere on these lights?

They look a bit testicle to me. :o

Correct, the thinking being that the fault occured when this area had been visited.

The most common cause of the sensors to fail is the pivot arm shown seizing up, mine get well lubricated and greased to prevent this!

Can item 13 - the link arm - be purchased separately?  Mine has snapped.

Yes it can and it just bolts onto the trailing arm/wishbone bracket and the sensor arm  :y

Thanks for the advice guys. :y

It's P***ing down in Manchester at the moment. For a change. ::)

I'll have another check of the connections, when it stops.

The fault warning started immeadiatly after replacing the bulbs. I must have disturbed something. I hope.

Hi Guys

I'm still having problems with my annoying warning."Low Beam Fld/Vision" :(

I have had the lights out and checked all the connections, all seems okay. I cant see whitch item Mark suggested checking, Is it similar to the black plastic rectangular box with rounded corners, just below the indicater bulb holder?

If so I cant see how it comes off?

What is driving me mad is all I did was replace the side light bulbs, which is over on the far Left. I could only get my hand in as far as the rubber cover.

The fault doesnt show straight after turning on the engine, it flags up within about 100 yds of driving off.

Any suggestions please.

Offside Headlight from rear
