ive got the original bellhousing which came on the AR35 so presuming the oil seals the same as the main shafts are i`ll poke it out in the morning & see if its got a number, unless of course vx have done a sales protection thing & used non numbered items which wouldnt surprise me,then go through my oil seal selection hopefully find a match, & i know what you are saying Kevin, i had to smooth it down due to the scoring it obtained during the last episode, the side to side movement seemed no different to the 3 litre t/c i got with the box which both had the same play in the locating slots, im still annoyed with myself for not thoroughly checking the seal as i checked the front edge as it were, when logically the damage would have been on the inner edge due to pulling the scored shaft past it has probably fraid it slightly as it didnt leak on the last box, my other half summed it up today by saying that when i do other peoples cars it all goes to plan but because its mine it all goes tits up

which seems about right, but you can say one thing, im not letting this sod win

,,,,,,,,& OT, i think £26 is a bit harsh for a seal that in reality is about £3-50,did you try going to a gearbox repair workshop as im sure they could help? if i can find a supplier or an equivelent i`ll put it on here somewhere
