Right this is strange.
Have had problem over last couple of weeks where my 2.0 auto was hunting up?down gears and bringing autobox warning on at around 50 also had a missfire on startup.
Decided to check compresions yesterday and found plugwells full of oil. Drained, cleaned & chained plugs/gaskets leads appeared ok unitl another set available . Felt much better.
As I was all greasy, decided to clean up replacement donor selector switch to fit, all clean jacked car up and when looking on how to remove selector I found that the cover was not fitted correctly and was in contact with the bar from the box. Removed cover and continued to look at how to remove switch. Could not work out how multiplug seperated and missis wanted to go shopping so decided to leave to another day, however I left cover off for time being.
Went out today and she drove brilliant except for still not wanting to go above 2500 in 3rd gear. No hesitation or autobox warning. On motorway went straight up to 70 with no jumping of gear so Im guessing that was the main issue.
Still going to chage selector switch as old one is greased up to the nines. Anyone know how the multiplug seperates?
