Read paperclip test in the maintenance section.  Post up the results here.  Sounds like crank sensor.  Please tell me it's got fuel in it now???

If your EML light is flashing it means its not received the signal from the keyfob...has the battery in the fob gone flat perhaps?? Means the immobiliser isnt disarmed...

If battery in fob is ok maybe re synch the fob...namely put key in ignition and into ignition position 2 and press fob button (when its done the central locking locks/unlocks or something I believe)...then lock/unlock with the fob and see if its sorted :)

Right enough if the EML is flashing rather than lit then immobiliser.

Transponder is not powered by battery, so flat (or no) battery in remote won't affect.

Oh yeah sorry I'm talking out my backside...battery is for central locking lol but reset procedure may well re synch the key fob right? Thus being able to turn off immobiliser...

I had same prob last week.  Would start if left overnight and from very hot, but never from luke warm.  I replaced the fuel pump as i thought it was fuel pressure but after wasting my money i soon realised that the crank sensor was at fault.  If only i had listened to user on this forum i would be a fuel pump lighter and £47 better off.  :'(

Now the car starts on key every time  :D

has the battery been disconnected to cause the radio issue? Ignoring that i would say crank sensor but all issues together are a bit confusing, as i dont think crank sensor would cause the radio safe mode, which would imply the electrical supply has been cut for whatever reason. Has anybody been working on the car?

Ok ignore the rest...19 crank sensor....

Change it and the rest of the codes will most likely go away too and your car will start...but use a genuine Vaux one...

Yep, its located by oil filter, trace the cable up to find the plug? Maybe others can advise the best technique for this, ive had one go but did not change it myself...

Correct me if I'm wrong but won't the code 19 come up every time anyway?? Due to car not starting??

The code 144 is probably more pertinent being "Immobiliser No Signal " ??

I would go back to basics, checking connections to battery, try starting the engine with your spare key etc etc

Just my thoughts
