omega 2.0 16valve w plate

hi guys...anybody any idea why my mig is idoling eratically when i start from cold. Also the lights internal and external dim and then go bright as the engine idols eractically. After a minute or so everything returns to normal :-/

On my mini-facelift it was the SAI knacked :)

Secondary air pump. Lives under the front passenger wing. Disconnect and see if it makes any difference :)

thanks, will have a look....something was making a weird noise there not so long ago and then it all went quite.....

Clean the throttle body, Idle Control Valve and all breathers and that should sort the idle problem.  There is a guide in the maintenance section.

Same here, my old mini facelift used to make a horrible noise due a knackered SAI fan. It comes on for about 30 or so seconds when the car is first started from cold. Mine didnt just make the lights go dim and bright it made the revs leap about as well from down to stall speed (about 200rpm) up to about 1000rpm then repeat. Just unplug it. It serves no useful purpose.
