How do you lower the Bose shelf? I can find four plastic clips but the shelf still seems to be attached to the metalwork.

Perhaps i'm being too gentle with it!

When you say "lower" I assume you mean remove?

The shelf fitted with the rear blind has 3no 10mm nuts screwed onto studs underneath the shelf accessible from the boot

Thanks! The shelf I mean is the black plastic tray that the Bose amp is mounted in not the actual parcel shelf.

Yes, parcel shelf has to come out, exposing 6 torx screws that need to be undone.

The wiring needs to be unclipped from length of shelf before lowering so you don't strain wiring.

Why do you want to remove?

I had problems removing my parcel shelf & had to resort to physical violence to get the bu66er out. Someone had got a bit excited with the mastic/sealant for the rear window & a bit of excess glue had helped glue the shelf in place.  :-?

Dont laugh but I want to put the Transceiver for my carphone in there, I was going to cut a slot in the shelf so that the sim card slot is accessible but TBH ('cause I don't fancy ripping the rear of the car out) i'll now probably just throw it in the open slot at the back of the shelf and hold it down with Velcro!

Before you ask why... simply because when I'm at the stables a normal cellphone (Class 4 - 2 Watt Max) barely gets a bar signal with a 3dB gain antenna whereas the carphone (Class 2 - 8 Watt on a 900Mhz network) obviously negotiates a far better Tx/Rx power level!  8-)

Question for TB - have you had any interference issues with the telematics close to the Bose amp and also, what power class rating is the telematics?

I dont get issues with amp and interference.  I do get issues when using the phone with slight interference, but due to not using a coax to carry audio to telematics...
