Hi all, i'm new on here, so apologies if putting this in wrong place - but i'm also having similar problem with my climate control, doesnt want to heat up very well, gets luke warm and normally when on full heat its get very warm in the car.

I've just tried the previous posters, bth2bth2 suggestion by didnt appear to do anything!!!!

I'm also not loosing water, have already had a part replaced, cant think at the moment what part it was, paperwork at work, but went to main vauxhall dealers and they said it was the most common part to go in an Omega, cost about £70ish !!!

It was £70 for the bit, and my dad got it trade!!!!   Cost £25 by a different mechanic to fit it!

Never use ECO button ........ i take it i should have it on ?     Could that have caused the problem?

2.2 is a 4 cylinder petrol or Tractor(oof for Diesel) not a v6 v6s are 2.5 2.6 3.0 or 3.2!

try the eco switch and let us know! it will save you some fuel too  :y

tmx - oops  :-[ not a good start - have corrected it all in my profile now - thank you 2.2 CD AUTO 2002.  Had an omega before that was a V6!

Am going to go out now and try the climate control (heat on) with the ECO button on and see what happens.

Will be sure to let you know - hopefully i'll be back on here thanking you. ;D

nope - ECO button has made no difference  :(

There is warmth coming out of the front vents but not blowing out as it used to be, but felt the vets for the back (rear of the central console) and they are blowing out practically cold air!

Could the whole system need flushing, originally i used to have the car serviced at a main dealer, and the last time they flushed the air con system (cost a few bob though) but that was about 3 years ago!    Or has that got absolutely nothing to do with it?

.... apologies bth2bth2 i appear to have hijacked your thread  :-[  totally unintentional !

I belive its a tech two jobby, under "body chassis", the controls on your panel direct air and control the heat via a swithover valve all done by vacum.

Had it done on mine last winter, as I had the same symptoms, cold on one side even at full temp/max/hi, and hot on the other. With the climate running at ECO, would give steamy windows one side of the car and clear the other.

Should just be a plug in and re-set from what I remember, no spanners or screw-drivers required.

Hope this helped :y
