Door check straps

My drivers side rear door never stays open and makes a nasty sound.....Am i right in guessing its the check strap cause i have tryed to clean it grease it and still it hates me just want to make sure before i get one.  In fact i mite change all of them over to newer ones.

It's usually the check starp having pulled throughthe door skin, so you need to sandwich what's left of your door skin with 2 of the repair plates.

Vx do a repair kit for this -- I used a couple of penny washers either side of the split -- works a treat.

See link m8 you can buy these but I made some myself if you got a piece of thin steel :y

Repaired mine using 4 large washers from BQ, bit fiddley but sorted the problem  :y

His problem is with the back door if I read correct, and the system is different than in the front... No idea of the repair though...  :-X
