Seat heating and sunscreen
« on: 28 October 2008, 09:01:22 »

Hello to all Omega technical specialists

My question to you is:

Front seat heater is not working drivers site ( for me left side because i am from Holland) however the switch scroll wheel light is illuminating.
Seat side and back side not warming up, girlfriend next to me is comfortable because passenger side is working. Anybody has a clue?

Sunscreen rear window has died to, even when i try to help it and same girlfriend is pushing the button, the only thing i hear is the clicking of a relay. does anybody experienced this problem.

For the rest the car is driving perfect till now with my new autobox.

Omega 2.5 V6 2000 LPG3

Thanks in advance.

The heated seat is a common problem and probably requires a new heating element.

I had similar problem with rear blind.  It looked difficult to get to to look at - I was told its a common problem.  Fortunately for me, when I asked garage to have a look (during a regular service) they found that it was working OK.  I know this doesn't fix your problem but it may give you hope that it could be working again.

You can always use a seperate heater pad that's intended for the fabric seating, it will just take the heat a little longer to reach your bum.  ;)

Regarding the rear blind. I think a few of the control boxes on the forum  have failed. You could always try another to test it.
