 hi all , is it true that when towing an auto u can only drive at 30mph ?????    using a straight bar !

  or is there something i can remove to travel at normal speed
 plz help   thanks  :y

disconnect the prop from the g/box :y

or from the axle as its easier to get to, then tie the prop up out of the way :y

only 3 nuts & bolts, cant remember if they are 15mm or 17mm but good luck, is it a breaker or it just died on you? :'(

6 nuts and bolts at the rear diff doughnut.

Remove the doughnut (to give some clearance) and cable tie the prop to the exhaust.

i have been looking for one as i have an engine in my dads garage doin nothing tried to sell it but no joy. ust brought estate not far from me with head gasket gone so im thinking of swapping engines or just fix the problem, looks a tidy car just to break!!
  might even put it on here first to see if anyone interested in it !!

best of luck with it, & yes 6 nuts & bolts at diff end but only 3 from box end, i forgot DTM as ive only gone g/box end on mine ;)

i was out in the open when i done my g/box [4 times in total :'(] just one thing after another, got very wet but can laugh about it now ;D, i think the forecast for today is its going to p1ss down just over a miggy estate in notts ;D ;D ;D [which includes me :'(]

nothing new there ! i have just been signed of work for a week with a bad chest infection !!  (not happy ) :(

the fresh air will do it good mick, but just remember when coughing, if its green spit it out, but if its brown swallow it quick cos its you ass hole!!!!! ;)

If you're only going 20 miles it not worth getting cold & wet disconnecting the prop for. 30 mph is plenty fast enough for the car towing ie stopping a ton & 3 quarters behind you with limited braking and also for the bloke in the tow car with no power steering or assisted brakes.  :y
