I have an 0500 from the rolling road day. The dyno confused the abs as the rear wheels where flat out and the fronts where at a stand still. Which then confused me because i thought the pedal trick only read the engine ecu. But the speed sensor is part of the engine ecu s parameters. So thats that. So sounds like you ve been playing  to me? Fair play.

Ah, that would be my afternoon of drifting at the pod... So will that throw up the engine man light every time as I intend to use her fairly often at drifty days...

And cheers Entwood, will have a look later when I get some more time, just getting used to having a 'new' car with faults I A: dont understand and B: cannot solve with a spanner and hammer even if I did!

I always thought hall effect sensors where to do with modern type 'points' or something, but gather you would have direct ignition?

You may get the abs light on, may not, but it will go out when things return to normal. But it will store a code as you have seen. No need to worry about it now though. Thing is with codes is, they are not time relevent, so its wise to note all codes and then erase(with a code reader) and see if it returns. Then you have an idea of the time scale involved and then weather to bother with fixing it or not. Hth

Cam or crank sensor.  If it's a v6 change the crank sensor, if it's a 4 pot change the cam sensor.
