Suggest that you give the car an oil and filter change, refilling to the correct mark on the stick.

Leak is probably the camcover gaskets.  Get kitchen roll or a syringe and plastic tube and suck out the excess oil from the plug wells.  Depending on how much is physically running down the side of the engine, you could leave it for a wee while, until the smell of burnt oil gets too overpowering.

Check out the howtoo guide in the maintenance section.  Dont forget to clear the breathers at the same time.....   :y

If they're leaking into the plug wells, it could turn into a bigger and much more expensive job. Plugs + Leads + DIS pack. Best to bite the bullet IMHO.

in my experience do asap. The longer you leave it the more likely you will damage plugs leads and then dis pac as said, but i also had failed alternator, covered in oil, plus what ever damage the oil will do to rubber hoses, have seen a post on here re blown coolant pipe under the oil filler, it had been eaten by the oil. Rubber and oil dont mix., unless oil resistant like seals. Coolant pipes aint.
