traction control coming on all the time
« on: 01 November 2008, 16:29:29 »

I have a 2002 omega estate 2.6 V6.  The past four months it has had a problem of the traction control light coming on and a subsequent loss of power, to remedy this I had to stop the car and turn the ignition  off and on again.  Ususaly it would reset itself, however after coming through a lot of water and flooding last week it will just not reset itself.  Can i turm off the traction control unit?   what is at fault?
Thanks
Stephen

should be a switch/button on the centre console, has TC on it. press it and it should turn traction off.

I wish it was as easy as that, when it happens the S button for sports does not work and neither does the kick down.

yes they all point to the front Off side wheel area, check sensor for ABS and tthe traction control unit.  Should I not be able to take the fuse for the traction control?
