2.2 cruise control
« on: 31 October 2008, 20:31:43 »

2.2 cruise control wiring ?
had the head gasket done on a 2.2 petrol, now the cruise control is not working, is there a wire plug kicking around that may have been left un-plugged by the garage ?
Any ideas ?

All drive by wire, so the lose plug wont be cruise related...

they must have left something else unplugged though!
unless it is an old plug off something long since dead, but wiring not disconnected, unlikely on a 2.2

do the eml lights come on and off as normal with the ignition?
have you got access to a code reader?

no its the cruise control that has stopped working, but only since the heads been done I was wondering if it had a connector to the engine that could have been left unplugged by the garage, sorry for the confusing post.

Yup, I got that gist...

My point being on a 2.2 there isnt a connector for cruise...its all done in software, so there must be another reason for it not working...

My guess was pointing at they have left something else unplugged, one of the symptoms of which is no cruise...

I was asking about the fault lamps in case they had removed the bulb to hide what is wrong, and about the code reader to work out exactlt what is wrong.

I might have to have a trip to Hampshire to have my cruise diagnosed ::)
