nother central locking ask
« on: 04 November 2008, 00:27:17 »

i have a problem with what i hope is my central locking/immobiliser.it started happening a few days ago,the car locks and unlocks fine but every now and then the car wont start,it turns over ok but nothing else.if i lock and unlock the car a few times it will start and behave as normal, the only thing i have noticed is that sometimes the deadlocks wont lock on the second press of the plipper, indeed when the car is refusing to start i cannot get the deadlocks on that is of course if that is what the second push on the plipper button does.coincidently this happened the first time on the way home from having the cam belt changed, never happened before, maybe the crank sensor and or wiring has been disturbed.what do you think?thanks

Sounds like the key needs re-synchronising.

Turn it to the second position (till you get the ignition lights on) then hold 2 of the buttons down for about 10 seconds.

See how that goes.
