just changed my pads on front, easiest ive changed yet on a car, but i couldnt get the sensors out the pads, they broke off, can i still drive it to the dealers to get new ones, and how much do they cost??

yep you can..some mechanics even glue them together  

but of course its wrong :-/

You could even cut off the ceramic bit, strip the wires back a little & twist the two wires together to put the warning message  out.

Yep. They're only fitted because if the manufacturer's schedule is followed they will only get checked every 20k miles. (if the stealer is dilligent at that!)

just read up, its the brake wear warning sensor, not too important then at moment, didnt fancy going back there again today after this mornings row with them. ordered the pads at southall, got there,they sent them to yeading had to pick up 12 miles away, was frigging furious as you can expect

i had about 3mm left on pads,back pads seem ok so wont touch for now. i shall renew brake fluid when its a bit more dry, hopefully at weekend.

That much?  :-? Mine were like cigarette papers when I last  did mine.

don't bother with dealer for the wear sensors.  Go to a motor factor and get delphi ones.  just make sure they are for the right brake system as the omega has 2.  (only early 2.0 had slightly smaller brakes) later models and V6 are all 296mm disc

bloke did have trouble getting me right brakes, had to give him chassis no.

pad sensors froma stealers are around 7 quid or so plus vat on TC.

I've just ordered two for mine.

The part number for the V6 is 90495144, and the tell tale sign is the little bell shape as opposed to the lozenge shaped ones, which have a different mounting (I have 3 lozenge shaped ones - brand new if anyone wants them)
